Soulcalibur 6 lineup adds Seong Mi-na and Astaroth

Seong Mi-na returns after missing out on Soulcalibur 5

Soulcalibur mainstays Astaroth and Seong Mi-na were both confirmed for the Soulcalibur 6 roster at Evo 2018 today, right before the Tekken 7 quarterfinal round got under way.

Bandai Namco offers a look at their newest appearance in the video above. Seong Mi-na whirls her signature naginata while rompy, stompy “axe golem” Astaroth powerbombs his foes and splits gourds with his giant axe.

Astaroth has been in every main Soulcalibur since the first. Seong Mi-na’s lineage goes back to the original Soul Edge (Blade) but she skipped 2012’s Soulcalibur 5, much to Soulcalibur fans’ disappointment.

These two join a lineup that announced the super-weird Voldo three weeks ago, and Talim at the beginning of July. Seventeen fighters have been confirmed so far for Soulcalibur 6, which launches Oct. 19 for PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One. One of the new fighters is special guest star Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher series. Another is Grøh, an all-new Soulcalibur fighter from Nordic lands.
