Terry Bogard is a busy guy. Not only is the star of Fatal Fury coming to SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy with a brand-new look, he’s also making an appearance as a guest character in Arika’s Fighting EX Layer, the company’s spiritual successor to the Street Fighter EX series.
Developer Arika teased Terry Bogard’s cameo at the end of a new trailer for Fighting EX Layer that also confirms two more add-on characters: Pullum Purna and Vulcano Rosso. Those two fighters will be added as part of an update for Fighting EX Layer that’s due sometime in late August or early September.
Pullum Purna made her first appearance in the original Street Fighter EX, which was released in 1996. Pullum, who hails from the Middle East, incorporates dance moves as part of her fighting style. Vulcano Rosso debuted in Street Fighter EX2 Plus, and his self-taught brand of martial arts employs fire-based attacks.
Two more Street Fighter EX2-era characters were teased at the end of the video: Area and Sharon. No word on when those two fighters will be added. Arika also announced that Fighting EX Layer will be coming to North American arcades.
Fighting EX Layer is available now on PlayStation 4.
