With just under a month until Destiny 2: Forsaken’s release, Bungie is hosting a livestream to show off some of the new systems at play. The studio’s description for the stream suggests that players will see the new subclass trees in action, as well as some developer-on-developer PvP action.
Players have had many questions — and a great deal of confusion — over Forsaken’s updated weapon system. Bungie has promised to answer all of those questions and more in this stream. Most importantly, Bungie has specifically mentioned that it will show off the new user interface surrounding the weapon system.
Bungie’s post also mentions that players will get a glimpse of how they’ll modify their weapons. The new masterwork system is one of the few great mysteries Forsaken has yet to deliver on from a systems perspective. It seems likely that Bungie will show this off to players as well.
Finally, a recent teaser of the stream showed off a few exciting changes. One Guardian is seen with Whisper of the Worm on their back and the Ikelos shotgun in their hands, confirming that these weapons can be used simultaneously. The end of the video also shows off a player getting killed with only three Better Devils shots to the head. This seems to be a return to Destiny’s lower time to kill in the Crucible.
Bungie’s livestream is set to begin at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET tomorrow, Aug. 7. You can watch it on Twitch above.
