Chrom from Fire Emblem: Awakening joins Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as an echo fighter of Roy.

Introduced in this latest title are echo fighters, characters who have similar abilities as established fighters, but different animations, appearances, and slight variations on their abilities.

Chrom’s daughter, Lucina, is another Fire Emblem echo fighter, but for Marth instead of Roy. Other than the obvious changes of their appearances, it’s not yet known what the other differences are between the new echo fighters.

Players will be able to change the character select menu to display all echo fighters or stack them on top of the original character. It will be easy to switch between characters if the latter version is chosen.

The latest addition to the nearly 20 year-old Super Smash Bros. franchise is Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Boasting an impressive roster made up of every previous Smash character (and more!), Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be out on Nintendo Switch on Dec. 7, 2018.
