Destiny 2: Forsaken players have glitched into the Last Wish raid early

The hardest Destiny puzzle Bungie has ever, accidentally released

Bungie/Activision via Polygon

The Last Wish raid in Destiny 2: Forsaken begins this Friday. However, over the weekend, players found a way into the raid’s entrance and stumbled upon a hidden chest. Inside, players were able to claim early drops from the unreleased raid, as well as poke around a bit more.

The glitch involves going under the world in Forsaken’s Dreaming City location. Players then have to do some serious jumping and hit certain loading walls just right, otherwise they’ll be killed or become stuck, needing to start over again. But players who’ve managed to push their way through have essentially confused the game, making it believe that the players have loaded into the Last Wish raid.

Once players have resumed their rightful place standing on the ground — rather than under it — they’ll be facing a bridge. Hidden under the bridge is a chest that can drop a piece of Last Wish loot for each player in the instance — or one piece for each character, for those that run alternates. The rest of the raid’s exterior is open to explore, although none of the doors will open.

Over the weekend, we were able to confirm this glitch by running it ourselves. While we never made it through the entire jumping puzzle — instead getting trapped in some giant, crystal chamber — we were able to join on with someone who had the checkpoint. Once in the raid zone, we picked up a few pieces of loot and found what we believe to be the proper entrance to the Last Wish raid.

Unfortunately, these raid pieces aren’t dropping as powerful rewards, and are fairly low-leveled. For players eager to test this glitch and claim loot for themselves, we suggest that they use the video below before Bungie patches it. The Last Wish raid will open to all players properly this Friday, Sept. 14.
