Local authorities in a Californian suburb are investigating reports of a shooting at a residence that belongs to someone matching Twitch streamer Dr. DisRespect’s description.
Dr. DisRespect’s house reportedly shot at during stream, authorities investigating
No medics were dispatched, authorities say

Guy “Dr. DisRespect” Beahm first reported that someone fired a shot at his house during a livestream on Tuesday. Beahm stepped away from his computer and returned a few seconds later announcing the incident, adding that he was ending the stream early to be with his family.
“I’ve got to end the broadcast right now, someone shot at our house,” Beahm says in the clip below. “Broke the fucking upstairs window. This is the second shot, someone shot yesterday, at our fucking house and someone shot again right now, connected with the house, upstairs.”
A representative from a southern California city’s sheriff department told Polygon that official identification of the person who made the call couldn’t be released at this time, but matched Guy “Dr. DisRespect” Beahm’s description. They also confirmed this was the second report of a shot being fired at the residence, something Beahm spoke about on stream after the incident occurred. A deputy was dispatched to investigate, but medical assistance was not requested at the time of the call, the representative said. The call was placed at approximately 1:30 p.m. EDT. Polygon is not naming the city Beahm lives in at this time.
The initial clip spread quickly around Twitter and Reddit. The incident occurred less than one month after two people were killed and numerous more injured during a mass shooting that occurred at a Madden NFL tournament in Jacksonville, Florida.
Local authorities told Polygon the deputy was still on the scene at the time of the call. Beahm has not said anything since the initial incident on stream.
Polygon will update this story as more information becomes available.
Update: Beahm tweeted about the incident late Tuesday night.
“The Doc and family appreciate everyone’s concerns and well wishes,” Beahm said. “Thankfully no one was hurt. The situation is being handled appropriately. In the meantime, stream will resume tomorrow according to schedule.”
