Another Nintendo Switch bundle is hitting stores, and this one is aimed at Fortnite fans who have yet to grab the console. The Fortnite “Double Helix” bundle will include numerous extras for the free-to-play game, including what Nintendo and Epic Game are calling “unique” weapons and outfits.

Announced mid-September — ahead of Fortnite Season 6’s launch — the package comes with the Double Helix set of items, including an outfit, back bling, glider and pickaxe.

Based on the image on the box art, the Double Helix collection has a classy red-, black-and-white color scheme going — kind of a cyberpunk vibe. You tell me, though:

Buyers will also receive 1,000 V-Bucks, which can be used to buy premium items or the Battle Pass. The Battle Pass gives players access to more content, like extra outfits, emotes and seasonal specials.

Since Fortnite is a free-to-play game, it seems likely that buyers will just be encouraged to boot up the Switch eShop once they’ve set up their system and download it. This seems like an otherwise standard Nintendo Switch set, right down to the neon Joy-Con pair; it’s even priced at $299.99, the standard MSRP.

Combining the mega-popularity of Fortnite with the growing install base of the Switch, however, is the definition of a good idea.

The Fortnite Double Helix Bundle is available at Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop and Target.
