Set the Gummiship for San Fransokyo

Square Enix released a new trailer for Kingdom Hearts 3 ahead of this week’s Tokyo Game Show, revealing new details about Sora, Donald and Goofy’s trip to the world of Disney’s Big Hero 6.

The Kingdom Hearts 3 Big Hero 6 trailer — which follows a shorter trailer released during a PlayStation press event last week — shows our heroes journeying to San Fransokyo, the futuristic home of Baymax and friends. Sora, Donald and Goofy, calling themselves the Keyblade Hero 3, team up with Hiro Hamada, Honey Lemon, Go Go Tomago, Wasabi No-Ginger, Fred and Baymax to battle big robots and fly over San Fransokyo’s cityscape. Our heroes also take time to visit Kingdom Hearts 3’s Frozen, Tangled and Pirates of the Caribbean worlds, while bits and pieces of the game’s story play out.

The trailer also shows off a new aspect of Sora’s Gummiphone: He can pose for selfies with friends and foes.

Note that the new trailer is voiced in Japanese, but subtitled in English via closed captions.

Square Enix also released a look at Kingdom Hearts 3’s box art, which was illustrated by series director Tetsuya Nomura.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Jan. 29, 2019.
