Valkyria Chronicles 4 is already coming to Nintendo Switch in the middle of this month. The original Valkyria Chronicles is as well.
Sega confirmed the news at PAX West yesterday. Sega said it is not, however, the remastered version of the game that launched in 2016 on PlayStation 4.
Players who have Valkyria Chronicles 4 in their Switch library will get $5 off Valkyria Chronicles’ eShop price of $19.99. Valkyria Chronicles goes on the eShop Oct. 16; Valkyria Chronicles 4 launches Sept. 25.
The first Valkyria Chronicles launched in 2008 on PlayStation 3. Valkyria Chronicles 4 launched in Japan back in March and is coming to the Switch, plus PS4, Windows PC and Xbox One. A demo of VC4 went up on the eShop about a month ago.
Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise, which likewise launched in Japan back in March, will also get a demo on Tuesday, Sept. 4, Sega said at the same panel. That game launches in the West Oct. 2.
Correction: A previous edition of this post gave an incorrect launch date for Valkyria Chronicles. It is Oct. 16.
