New Wreck-It Ralph 2 trailer brings back the Rick Roll

It’s never gonna give you up or let you down

The sequel to Wreck-It Ralph will take us from the arcade world into the wondrous realm of the world wide web. Ralph and Vanellope are in search for a missing part of Vanellope’s arcade game, and what better place to look than online? This means stumbling upon things like pop-up advertisements, search engines, cat and baby videos, hardcore online racing games and — yes, memes.

Lots of memes. (Skip to 1:11 for the full effect).

In addition to Rick Astley’s voice crooning in the background, this trailer gives us a glimpse of the nitty-gritty world of Slaughter Race, the online racing game that Ralph and Vanellope discover, and the leather-clad Shank, Gal Gadot’s new character. Vanellope feels at home in this new racing world — but what does that mean for her friendship with Ralph?

The original director, producer and co-writer return for Ralph Breaks the Internet. John C. Reilly and Sarah Silverman reprise the roles of Ralph and Vanellope. Joining the cast are Taraji P. Henson, Gal Gadot, Glozell Green and Ali Wong.

Ralph Breaks the Internet premieres on Nov. 21.
