Nintendo Switch Online members may have more than just classic NES games to look forward to as part of their subscription. One Nintendo fan looked at the source files for the NES game collection, and says that they found code for a variety of Super NES games, including Super Mario Kart, The Legend Zelda: A Link to the Past and Super Mario World, within.
KapuccinoHeck, a modder in the Nintendo community, tweeted this weekend that they dug into NES Online files this weekend, and posted a long list of references to SNES games. The entire list is as follows:
Star Fox 2 (lol)

Super Punch-Out!!
The Legend of the Mystical Ninja
Super Mario All-Stars
Breath of Fire 2
There’s a lot of overlap with the Super Nintendo Classic mini-console — it even includes the system-exclusive Star Fox 2 — but not everything on the list is identical. (Breath of Fire 2 and Demon’s Crest would be notable new inclusions.)
Let’s not get our hopes up yet. Nintendo hasn’t said that it plans to bring Super NES games, or any other consoles, to the Nintendo Switch Online collection. But with the relative lack of content for Nintendo Switch Online since the service’s September launch, more Nintendo classics to play on the go sounds like a dream.
We’ve reached out to Nintendo about the data mine and will update with more accordingly.
