Latest trailer for Netflix’s Umbrella Academy teases the end of the world

Six siblings must put asides their differences to save the world

The world ends in just eight days, and it’s up to the six Hargreeves siblings to stop it.

The newest trailer for Netflix’s highly anticipated adaptation of The Umbrella Academy — the hit comic series written by My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way and illustrated by Gabriel Bá — shows us just what’s at stake.

After a few years of estrangement, the six siblings that make up the titular Umbrella Academy are reunited for their father’s funeral. They work together to solve the mystery of their father’s death, but that’s not the only pressing matter. Number Five, gifted with the ability to travel through time, has seen a glimpse of a catastrophic, apocalyptic future. He’s bent on stopping the end of the world — but someone’s bent on stopping him. The siblings must team up to save the world, but their headstrong and butting personalities might tear them apart once more.

Starring Ellen Page (X-Men: The Last Stand) as Vanya, the only non-super-powered family member (with wicked violin skills), and Robert Sheehan (Mortal Engines) as Klaus, a slacker with telekinetic powers, The Umbrella Academy premieres on Netflix on Feb. 15.
