Bandai Namco and developer CyberConnect2 are making a new action-role-playing game that they promise will be “the most dramatic and epic telling of the Dragon Ball Z story” to date. That game, which has the working title Dragon Ball Game - Project Z, is due sometime in 2019.

Details on Project Z are scant, other than that players will experience the story “through the eyes of Kakarot, the Saiyan better known as Goku,” Bandai Namco said in an official announcement. The publisher promises an “unforgettable adventure” with “over-the-top battles and challenging quests, create life-long friendships, and crusade to protect Earth from fearsome villains.”

Project Z is coming to PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One. Developer CyberConnect2 is best known for its work on the .hack and Naruto: Ultimate Ninja series of role-playing games.
