If you received a Nintendo Switch over the holidays, now is an excellent time to load up on games for your new console. Nintendo is discounting select Switch games in a New Year’s digital downloads sale, running through Jan. 10.

Several Switch games are on sale for up to 75 percent off, including first-party titles, at the Nintendo eShop, GameStop, Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon, and Target. Nintendo is infamously stingy with discounts on its own games, especially digital download codes which don’t have to be cleared out of warehouses to make room for more inventory. This New Year’s sale is one of the best discounts we’ve seen on digital Switch downloads.

One of the highlights of the sale is 30 percent off Square Enix’s 2018 release, Octopath Traveler, which our review called “the magical RPG the Nintendo Switch needed”. Also available at 30 percent off are first party Nintendo staples Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Splatoon 2, hack-and-slash Zelda game Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition, and the fighting game Arms. One of my personal favorite Switch titles this year, the beautiful puzzle game The Gardens Between, is on sale for $12.99 (MSRP $19.99).

A few 3DS digital downloads are also discounted including Yoshi’s New Island, Super Mario 3D Land, and Mario Party: The Top 100.

Our top picks from Nintendo’s New Year sale are listed below, along with the retailers where they’re discounted. The sale runs through 8:59 a.m PT on Jan. 10.
