Awesome Games Done Quick 2019: what to watch on the second day

Eight world record holders perform in their top events over the second 24 hours of Awesome Games Done Quick 2019 (noon today until noon Tuesday). The 10th edition of the speedrunning marathon for charity kicked off from Rockville, Maryland yesterday. You can watch all of the action live, right here.

Here are the games featuring world-record holders (according to speedrun.com) scheduled to appear over the next 24 hours (all times ET).

• 1:20 p.m. Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (VB__). Glitchless Hard Mode, Wii U VC. VB__ has been No. 1 since August.
• 3:13 p.m. Castlevania 2: Simon’s Quest (jc583). Any%, NES. jc583 has been the world record holder since December 2017.
• 4:46 p.m. Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon (Laxxus). Any%, Normal/Veteran on PC. Laxxus has owned the world record for this run since the game’s debut, most recent best time was set Dec. 16.
• 3:57 a.m. Tuesday. Nier: Automata (Fullest). [E] Ending, Normal on PC.
• 8:42 a.m. The Battle of Olympus (Karma). Any% on NES.
• 9:58 a.m. Chip ‘n Dale: Rescue Rangers 2 (swordsmankirby, garadas21). Any%, one-player, two-controllers race on NES. These two are Nos. 1 and 2, respectively, in this game Any%.
• 10:28 a.m. Yume Kojo: Doki Doki Panic! (LackAttack24). All levels.
• 11:18 a.m. Rayman 2: The Great Escape (Glackum). Any%, no cutscenes on PC.

Other runs of note:

• At 5:39 p.m. in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Kruncha, michael_goldfish and spikevegeta2 compete in a three-way race (Any%, No Death Abuse on Switch). These three are No. 2 through 4 in this category, respectively.
• Jak 3, Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy and Splatoon 2 (Octo Explosion) run consecutively at 7:19, 8:24 and 10:19 p.m. Their runners (ThaRixer, Blunts Moses and TonesBalones) are all top 3 in their events.
• Resident Evil, Silent Hill 2, Tomb Raider 2 and Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness then run at 11:54 p.m., 12:49 a.m. Tuesday, 1:54 and 3:17 a.m. RawDerps (RE), Punchy (SH2), Smooth Operative (TR2) and PlasticRainbow (Angel of Darkness) are the runners.
