Dibble’s origins revealed in first trailer for Care Bears: Unlock the Magic

Dibble, Dibble, Dibble!

The latest staple of childhood nostalgia to get a reboot for the next generation is none other than the Care Bears. This time, the colorful, cozy, and cuddly cast of Care Bears will be joined by an adorable little creature named Dibble. Dibble! We’ve already dedicated 300 words to this beautiful creature, but here’s a quick recap: Dibble is a new companion. Dibble cannot speak. Dibble floats on a cloud. All hail Dibble.

The first trailer for Care Bears: Unlock the Magic gives us some context as to how Dibble becomes a key member of the Care Bears team. As the dreamy-voiced Bedtime Bear explains, Dibble is member of a species known as the Whiffles, who are incapable of saying more than simple cooing noises, and plant seeds of caring throughout Care-A-Lot to help the magical land grow. Bad guy Bluster, however, is trying to stop them from doing their job — gasp!

That’s where the Care Bears come in, with a mission to stop Bluster. Dibble joins them as a “new friend and traveling companion,” as they journey through the mysterious Silver Lining. We see Dibble feasting on ice cream sundaes, cuddling in the arms of her Care Bear companions, and serving some #lewks as she lounges on a beach chair with fabulous heart-shaped sunglasses.

Not only is Dibble cute and joyous, but she also has more style than all of us can ever hope to posses. Just look at her. We stan an icon.

We don’t know if the other Whiffles feel betrayed by Dibble’s new lifestyle; if she willingly volunteers to join the Care Bears or is taken away out of her own volition; or what other powers Dibble possesses, besides looking like an adorable puff ball and Instaglam queen at the same time. But surely all these questions and more will be answered.

Care Bears: Unlock the Magic streams on Boomerang starting Feb. 1. We’re ready for some more Dibble.
