Cadence of Hyrule developer makes a rhythm-based Super Mario Maker 2 course

Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the NecroDancer maker Brace Yourself Games made a special Super Mario Maker 2 course called “Cadence of Mario???.” It’s a catchy course that will force players to hop along to the beat.

The course uses a Buzzy Beetle shell that repeatedly hits on/off switches to activate platforms. The on/off switches trigger platforms that vanish and reappear, as well as conveyor belt platforms that will switch directions. The level uses the Super Mario World ghost house theme, so it’s perfect for the Halloween season. Cadence of Mario??? is labeled as hard in the announcement tweet, meaning that it might take a couple tries to beat.

Just like Cadence of Hyrule, you don’t have to use the rhythm to play the game if you don’t want to, but doing that is the bulk of the fun. Input the course ID (HFH-D53-60G) in Super Mario Maker 2 to access Cadence of Mario??? and give it a go.
