Red Dead Redemption 2 is coming to Windows PC in a few weeks, in case you haven’t heard, and publisher Rockstar Games showed off the port in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second in a trailer on Thursday.
The long-awaited PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 will offer “new graphical and technical enhancements for deeper immersion,” Rockstar said earlier this month, including the following:
... increased draw distances for better navigation; higher quality global illumination and ambient occlusion for improved day and night lighting; higher quality snow trails, improved reflections and deeper, higher resolution shadows at all distances; tessellated tree textures and improved grass and fur textures for added realism in every plant and animal.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will arrive Nov. 5 on PC, just over one year after the game’s debut on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It will be available at launch via the Rockstar Games Launcher, the Epic Games Store, Green Man Gaming, the Humble Store, GameStop, and “additional digital retailers,” with pre-orders outside the Rockstar Launcher set to start Oct. 23, although it won’t be sold on Steam until December. The port will offer some bonus content; check out our previous article for information on the content and the game’s system requirements.
