Monster Hunter World: Iceborne came out on consoles back in September, and now we finally know when PC players can get their hands on the expansion: Jan. 9, 2020. Capcom revealed the release date in the expansion’s first PC trailer on Friday morning.
The PC trailer shows off some of the frozen environments from the expansion, and sets up the basic story, but the real star of the trailer are the monsters. There are woolly mammoths, giant saber-toothed cats, and all kinds of other frozen foes.
The trailer also does a good job of letting players know exactly why the Windows PC version of Iceborne will be worth the wait. It boasts that the game will offer players a high resolution texture pack, 4K resolution, an uncapped frame rate, ultra-wide screen support, DirectX 12 support, and improved keyboard and mouse controls. The trailer itself was even released in 4K and 60 fps, just to give PC players a little preview of how good the game will look when it’s released.
Monster Hunter World: Iceborne will be available on Steam when it comes to PC in January.
