Babylon’s Fall is PlatinumGames and Square Enix’s next game

New gameplay footage for Japanese studio PlatinumGames’ Babylon’s Fall was showcased during Sony’s State of Play presentation on Dec. 10.

The action-packed gameplay appears to be highly combat-focused, but there’s still a lot we don’t know about the game. PlatinumGames said there’ll be more information on Babylon’s Fall “next summer.” There are a bunch of knights fighting in the new Babylon’s Fall trailer — some of which are very large — with “spectral swords.”

Here’s what Square Enix has to say about it:

Babylon’s Fall is a brand new game from Square Enix, developed in partnership with renowned action specialists PlatinumGamesInc (Bayonette series, Nier: Automata)

In our new teaser trailer, unveiled during the State of Play broadcast earlier today, take an early look at the game’s fluid action gameplay for the first time as well its striking brushstroke visual art-style delivered by the original “Brushwork Filter.”

Babylon’s Fall was first revealed during Square Enix’s 2018 E3 presentation. Like Nier: Automata before it, Babylon’s Fall will be published by Square Enix. The action game is bound for PlayStation 4 and Windows PC via Steam.
