Grand Theft Auto 5 and Grand Theft Auto Online are getting a new radio station. Called iFruit Radio, the station will be hosted by rapper Danny Brown, whose albums include The Hybrid and the critically-acclaimed 2011 release, XXX. The station goes live in the game on Dec. 12.
“iFruit Radio introduces a collection of 27 tracks selected by host Danny Brown,” Rockstar Games said in a press release, “joined by special guest UK rapper Skepta, and featuring artists such as DaBaby, Megan Thee Stallion, Denzel Curry & YBN Cordae, City Girls, Rico Nasty, Skepta & AJ Tracey, Freddie Gibbs & Madlib, and many more.”
The station will be available in GTA 5’s Story Mode. It’s also included as part of a large update for GTA Online called The Diamond Casino Heist. That bit of DLC adds a new mission that takes place in the recently-added casino. Rockstar calls it “the biggest, most audacious, most complex criminal operation ever to hit Los Santos.”
Grand Theft Auto 5 launched more than six years ago on the previous generation of game consoles, including the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3. It was later ported to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in 2014, and in 2015 finally arrived on PC. Since that time Rockstar’s online component, GTA Online, has helped the game remain among the most-played games. Nearly 100,000 players were online via Steam at time of publication.
