Fortnite players get free skins, and more, for the holidays

Fortnite’s Winterfestival has begun, and this year Epic is celebrating with 14 days of festivities. The event will include some old fan-favorite weapons and limited-time modes making a return, new challenges and, of course, presents for everyone.

During the Winterfestival, a new snowflake tab will be available in the lobby which will take players directly to Fortnite Chapter 2’s Winterfest Lodge. Players will find a new present inside the lodge every single day.

According to Epic there are plenty of goodies inside each new present, including skins, gliders, pickaxes, wraps, emotes, and more. And each of these cosmetic bonuses is exclusive to the this year’s Winterfest. The best part? Every single present is free to open for all players.

Also inside the Winterfest Lodge are stockings that players can visit for even more holiday rewards. The stockings will include new challenges that can be completed for rewards and XP. Just like the presents, these will refresh daily, but you’ll need to do some work to claim these rewards.

Fortnite’s Winterfestival will run from Dec. 18 to Jan. 2, 2020. If you miss a few days’ festivities, Epic says that you can return anytime before Jan. 7, 2020 to catch back up.
