PUBG’s first aircraft, the Motor Glider, begins test flights this weekend

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds gets its first player-controlled aircraft, the Motor Glider, which will be available for test flights this weekend in the PUBG Labs server.

The Motor Glider (that’s it above) seats two. While it doesn’t have any armaments, players can still drop throwables (molotovs are most useful) and fire from above, just as they would from any other vehicle. While the engine may be destroyed, it can still glide to a landing with indestructible landing gear. The wings take damage, but at a lesser rate than the body.

The Motor Glider will be spawned randomly around the map, and while it has no service ceiling, it will lose power the higher you go with it. It also has a limited fuel supply.

The Motor Glider test will take place on the Erangel and Miramar maps beginning at 11 p.m. PST today and running until 11 p.m. PST on Sunday. Players on the PC version of PUBG will find the test in a banner on the public match menu of their main screen.
