World of Warcraft’s last big content update for its Battle for Azeroth expansion, Visions of N’Zoth, will be available on Jan. 14. Blizzard announced the release date in a blog post today.
Coming with Visions of N’Zoth are new Assaults, Horrific Visions, and two new Allied Races — the Horde’s vulpera and Alliance’s mechagnomes. Players will be able to participate in a 12-boss raid “set in the Void-shrouded heart of the ancient Black Empire;” the last boss is, of course, N’Zoth — “a fateful battle for Azeroth’s survival.”
Here’s the raid unlock schedule, straight from Blizzard:
- Jan. 21 – Normal and Heroic Difficulties
- Jan. 28 – Mythic Ny’alotha, Raid Finder Wing 1 (Vision of Destiny)
- Feb. 11: Raid Finder Wing 2 (Halls of Devotion)
- Feb. 25: Raid Finder Wing 3 (Gift of Flesh)
- March 10: Raid Finder Wing 4 (The Waking Dream)
Blizzard said Battle for Azeroth’s fourth season will begin “shortly after” Visions of N’Zoth is released. Players can expect “a new seasonal affix in Mythic Keystone dungeons, reward updates, and a new season of PvP action.”
With the end of major Battle for Azeroth updates comes anticipation for the next expansion. Shadowlands was announced at BlizzCon 2019 and is expected to be released sometime in 2020.
