Owen S. Good is a longtime veteran of video games writing, well known for his coverage of sports and racing games.

The newest character in Tekken 7 is Fahkumram, and he briefly caused Sagat from Street Fighter to trend on Twitter because of their, hrm, close resemblance and muay thai origins.

Fahkumram (his name means “roaring sky,” or “thunder”) is also a giant like Sagat (7-foot-5, canonically). In the trailer Bandai Namco published today, he towers over poor Marduk after an over-the-top entrance that looks like Airwolf delivering a carbonite-frozen Han Solo.

Fahkumram, officially revealed at the Tekken World Tour Finals 2019, is part of the Tekken 7 season 3 pass of premium downloadable content (that runs $24.99). Bandai Namco didn’t give a specific arrival date for him. In September, Bandai Namco announced Zafina and Leroy Smith, the latter of whom is due this winter. At the time the publisher said two more fighters (for a total of four) would be added to the season 3 roster in the spring, so perhaps that is when Fahkumram arrives. When he does, he’ll be joined by a new Thailand fighting stage.
