A quick, new trailer for Captain Marvel premiered during the Super Bowl, showing Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) going higher, further, faster, more.
The trailer starts out with Carol Danvers in her Air Force gear, strolling along with Maria Rambeau (Lashana Lynch), when she says her famous catchphrase. The “higher, further, faster, more” mantra is repeated throughout the brief trailer, as Carol maneuvers her jet like she’s straight out of Top Gun. Eventually the fighter pilot’s battles turn into epic space ones. We get another glimpse of Jude Law’s character, as well as Captain Marvel’s badass mohawk look.
At one point, Samuel L. Jackson’s de-aged Nick Fury gives a joyous woop as Carol flies a jet.
Captain Marvel is the next film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The end of Avengers: Infinity War teased Captain Marvel’s appearance, and though the film takes place in the 1990s, it’s theorized that Captain Marvel herself will play a big role in Avengers: Endgame (which also got a Super Bowl trailer). Captain Marvel flies into theaters on March 8.
