The Fallout franchise will get an official pen-and-paper role-playing game this summer. Developer Modiphius Entertainment says it will be an expansion to the Fallout: Wasteland Warfare tabletop miniatures game.

The expansion, designed by James Sheahan, will bring along new rules for character creation, wasteland adventures and more, Modiphius said. “Faction-based Archetype cards,” will assist players who want to create unique characters. Super Mutants, Raiders and the Brotherhood of Steel were all name checked in the announcement.

The expansion isn’t yet named. It will launch this summer, with a standalone product available by Christmas. The expansion is designed for one Gamemaster refereeing up to six players (ages 14 and up). It will include three adventures, usable either in a linked campaign or as one-shot missions.

The release will also include codes for downloadable copies, including the rulebook as a PDF, character, weapon and Archetype cards, and a playing mat. The standalone SKU will include everything plus dice. More information is here.
