Trailer for Brie Larson’s Netflix movie Unicorn Store teases a Captain Marvel reunion

Samuel L. Jackson is back, and sporting pink

Brie Larson’s directorial debut Unicorn Store heads to Netflix in April. The first trailer is a glitter-filled romp — and brings Samuel L. Jackson and Brie Larson back together after starring in Captain Marvel.

Though if we want to get technically, perhaps Captain Marvel is really a Unicorn Store reunion: Unicorn Store was filmed, completed, and debuted before Captain Marvel even started shooting. The film was initially shown at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival but it didn’t get picked up for distribution till this January. (And if we want to get really technical, Unicorn Store was a Kong: Skull Island reunion, the movie on which the actors first met!)

Unicorn Store stars Brie Larson as Kit, an eccentric and childlike young woman who can’t quite figure out how to be an adult. After leaving art school, where her glitter-filled pastel works contrasted with other students’ stark, serious portraiture, Kit finds herself working a humdrum office job. She receives an invitation to a mysterious store, where a pink-tuxedo clad salesman (Samuel L. Jackson) promises her a unicorn. But first, she must prove herself. That involves building a stable for the creature. More glitter is involved.

Unicorn Store premieres on Netflix on April 5.
