New Avengers: Endgame trailer shows a long-awaited reunion

‘You trust me?’ ‘I do.’

The latest trailer for Avengers: Endgame might be the first that actually looks like a trailer, featuring a look at several new scenes in Avengers HQ and even the Guardians of the Galaxy flagship, the Milano.

But for many fans, this trailer has only one thing of interest: A long-awaited reunion between Captain America and Iron Man.

The Star Spangled Man and the Iron Avenger have been on the outs ever since 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, and that’s a long time, in fandom years, to hold a grudge. The two couldn’t even patch it up in time for Avengers: Infinity War, in part leading to the group’s resounding defeat.

With Avengers: Endgame as a blowout farewell event to the Marvel’s first three franchises, however — signified here with a final shot of Iron Man, Captain America and Thor approaching Thanos in a line — we were pretty sure we’d see Tony and Steve patch things up. Now, we’ve gotten a hint as to how that’ll play out.

As for what happens next? We’ll have to wait until April 26. The good news is, tickets are on sale now.
