Just when you didn’t think the previews for Godzilla: King of the Monsters couldn’t get more epic, the final trailer takes everything great about the previous ones — monsters! fights! witty wordplay! did we mention monsters? — and ramps it all up.
You want monsters? All the monsters get a chance in the spotlight, including our very good friend Mothra. Millie Bobby Brown still hasn’t touched Mothra in the trailer, but she gets closer than ever.
You want battles? Well, gear up for some intense kaiju-versus-kaiju, man-versus-man, and kaiju-versus-man showdowns.
And how about that witty wordplay?
“My God,” says someone as Godzilla rises from the water, ready to battle its arch-nemesis Ghidorah.
“Zilla!” chimes in someone else.
That actually happens. It’s great. The tagline in this trailer is “One King to Rule Them All,” which is equally great.
There is a lot going on in this final trailer. So much. Very much. And it’s all a wonderful monster-filled frenzy.
