The Avengers read a Thanos bedtime story on Jimmy Kimmel

Just in case you needed a light-hearted recap

If you’re worried your kids will be scarred by the events of Avengers: Infinity War — you know, when half the universe was decimated into dust, including young Peter Parker stumbling into Tony Stark’s arms as he poofed — but still want to take them along to see Avengers: Endgame, worry no longer.

A quick recap of the events of Infinity War is now available in bedtime story form. Read by (most of) the surviving Avengers on Jimmy Kimmel Live, ‘Twas the Mad Titan Thanos retells the long epic but with child-friendly rhymes and illustrations.

Well, almost. It appears that Thanos’ distinct jawline looks a little like...

“Saggy nuts!” says Chris Evans, pointing to an illustration of the Titan himself.

Maybe this rendition isn’t exactly child-friendly. The cast of the Avengers riff on the movie moments and don’t shy away from strong language. Jokes include Thor not “going for the head,” Starlord royally screwing things up for the entire universe, and Hawkeye’s total absence from Infinity War.

“They really should’ve just called me,” says Jeremy Renner. “I could’ve got this done real quick.”

What comes next after the events of ‘Twas the Mad Titan Thanos? I guess we’ll find out on April 26 when Avengers: Endgame comes to theaters.
