According to Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo, the “spoiler ban” on their superhero epic lifts on Monday, May 6. The rigid schedule makes a little sense: Endgame is a deep well of twists, deaths, and Marvel Cinematic Universe payoffs, all worthy of analysis, and all spoilable.
Of course, the request to keep mum until next week isn’t stopping Hasbro, the company behind the current line of Avengers: Endgame action figures, from going full force with spoilers now that the movie is out and making record-breaking amounts of money. Anyone looking to relive the magic in six- and 12-inch form is in for a treat.
[Ed. note: yes, this look at a new line of toys 100% spoils Avengers: Endgame]
Dipping into spoilery-but-not-so-spoilery territory is Hasbro’s Ant-Man six-inch, which boasts a big and small version of Scott Lang in his Quantum Realm suit (but not a baby version of Scott Lang, which is unfortunate).
Hey, turns out Black Panther isn’t so dead after all. Here he is, returned from the snap, ready to bust up Thanos’ army.
A new 12-inch Star-Lord figure is here to say: “I’m alive and ready for Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3: The Search for Gamora!”
The Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer plays way differently after Endgame, but children will likely play with the Spider-Man Endgame toy without thinking twice. Just don’t poke your eyes out, kiddos! Those Iron Spider claws are activated for “kill mode” in the final Avengers.
Valkyrie is also back for Endgame, and ready to earn her place as leader of New Asgard. The only disappointing thing about her Hasbro figure is that it does not come with a pegasus.
Avengers: Endgame’s momentous battle of ... upstate New York ... sees the return of the Chitauri warriors from 2012’s The Avengers. They’re looking a little spiffier in the year 2023.
OK, here’s some serious spoiler territory. Hasbro has released a pair of figures, uniting Iron Man and Rescue, aka Pepper Potts in armor. Savor this moment: thanks to Tony’s death and Gwyneth Paltrow’s contract, this may be the last we see of the pair on screen or in toy form.
So ... Tony did a thing. And you can wear it around your house.
The big reveal: Hasbro has released a figure of Professor Hulk wielding the Stark Gauntlet. Those of us hoping to get a 12-inch “Old Cap” will have to wait for some speciality line eons from now, but this spoiler moment you can savor while Endgame’s still in theaters.
