Shenmue 3 has been delayed again and will be released on Nov. 19, instead of Aug. 27.
Shenmue 3 delayed from August to November
Another delay pushes the game to launch a couple of months later

The game is nearly finished, but creator Yu Suzuki and publisher Deep Silver note that “the game simply needs a little more refinement before being truly finished” in the Kickstarter announcement.
This is the third delay the game has had since its crowdfunding campaign opened. It was delayed once until late 2018, and again until 2019. The game raised $7,179,510 after being crowdfunded for three years, making it the highest crowdfunded game of all time through Kickstarter.
Shenmue 3’s crowdfunding campaign was originally introduced during E3 in 2015 and has since raised way past the original goal of $2 million. The crowdfunding also included unknown amounts of money from investors like Sony to complete the game. This sparked a conversation across the industry about budget transparency and costs of making a AAA game.
Shenmue 3 will be available for PlayStation 4 and Windows PC.
