Microsoft is planning for its upcoming E3 presentation, but there’s one surprise product that we know will be hitting store shelves this summer. It’s not a game or a console, but instead a fragrance line called Lynx Xbox. Microsoft has partnered with Lynx to create a scent that captures the essence of Xbox, and can be purchased in body spray, deodorant, and shower gel forms, Gamespot reports.

Freshen up with the scent of Xbox

What does Xbox smell like? The official description says that “Lynx Xbox is a fresh scent of pulsing green citrus, featuring top notes of kaffir lime and winter lemon, aromatic herbal middle notes of mint and sage, and woody bottom notes of patchouli and clearwood. Containing a range of natural essential oils, the Xbox Lynx range comes with a sleek new look and features a body spray, deodorant, and shower gel.”
That certainly sounds more appealing than what one might originally expect from a console-themed fragrance. Lynx are known as the creators of Axe in the States. This collaboration makes more sense than it first seems. Brands like Microsoft seek to become lifestyle products, with players integrating them into aspects of their life beyond the couch.
These products will be available in Australia and New Zealand from July onward; we have reached out to Microsoft for a statement on whether these products will arrive in other markets.
