Warner Bros. confirmed today that it would not be bringing any updates on the upcoming DC Films slate so San Diego Comic-Con, but at least one DC filmmaker had a treat for disappointed fans. Director Patty Jenkins shared a new teaser poster for Wonder Woman sequel Wonder Woman 1984.
It’s a feast for the eyes, featuring actress Gal Gadot on a background of jagged smears of color in the shape of Wonder Woman’s emblematic initial.
By now you’ve heard: WB isn’t going to Hall H this year. We’re so sad to miss you there! And waiting until Dec. to start our official #WW84 campaign in full-- But the truth is… we can just… barely… wait… pic.twitter.com/QllFzhYRA6

The image also shows Gadot in a brand-new costume, featuring a full body suit of what appears to be scale mail and shiny metal. The full-body coverage and space-age silhouette bears a closer resemblance one of the DC Universe’s other demi-goddess warriors, Big Barda, than any of the memorable Wonder Woman costume revamps.
But if Diana decided to take page out of Captain Marvel’s book for her costume and Thor’s book for her color scheme — well, who are we to argue? It looks rad.
