Google’s Stadia Connect press conference airs nearly a full week before the start of E3, the game industry’s biggest conference. You can watch the entire presentation above when it goes live on Thursday, June 6, at 12 p.m. EDT/9 a.m. PDT. Expect more information on Stadia’s launch date, as well as pricing and new game announcements.
Stadia is the novel new gaming platform that was announced in March. The cloud-based system will not require a set-top box. Instead, consumers will be able to stream AAA-quality games to virtually any device over the internet. That includes PCs of course, but also TVs and mobile devices. Stadia will reportedly stream games at 60 fps, with HDR and 4K resolution. Representatives say that it will eventually support up to 8K resolution at 120 fps. Early titles will include Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Doom Eternal.
Google recently spooled up a new development studio featuring Jade Raymond, previously a leader at both Ubisoft and Electronic Arts.
