Tetris Effect, the audiovisual experience-meets-puzzle game that first hit PlayStation 4 in 2018, is coming to Windows PC on July 23, developer Enhance Games and The Tetris Company announced today. Tetris Effect for PC will be sold through the Epic Games Store.
Enhance calls Tetris Effect for PC “the ultimate version” of the game, capable of displaying resolutions of “4K or more” with an uncapped frame rate with v-sync disabled, and offering support for ultrawide monitors. The PC version will also offer “expanded game and graphical options” including texture filtering and adjustable particle volume and size.
On PC, Tetris Effect will support the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive virtual reality headsets, as well as their associated controllers (standard gamepads, Vive Controllers, and Oculus Remote and Touch controllers).
Tetris Effect was released in November as a timed PS4 and PlayStation VR exclusive. We called it “the best Tetris since the original” in our review and named it one of Polygon’s best games of 2018.
