Turok is being revived in the cutest of ways

I want to cuddle with everything in Turok: Escape from Lost Valley

A new Turok game is coming out, and it is really ... cute? Turok: Escape from Lost Valley is the latest title in the long-running franchise. It is the first Turok game since Turok (2008), and comes to Windows PC on July 25.

To be frank, the contrast in visual style between the Turok: Escape from Lost Valley and previous Turok games is stark. Instead of a big muscled man shooting up everything, we’ll get cute lil’ chibi babes.

The early Turok games are first person shooters and are known for being violent. This is why a cutesy version of the game takes the franchise in a new direction. In Turok: Dinosaur Hunter, there are times when you shoot a soldier, and instead of dying, the soldier will stand a scream before they fall.

Yes, the player will still be facing off against dinosaurs, but a lot has changed. It isn’t a first person shooter and both the enemies and characters resemble stuffed animals. In Turok: Escape from Lost Valley, I want to cuddle with all the dinosaurs more than I want to kill them.

Just for a little comparison, here are some screenshots that show the first game, Turok: Escape from Lost Valley and Turok: Dinosaur Hunter:
