Halo characters are coming to Gears 5

Noble Team joins the fight on Sera

Gears 5 will get a Halo: Reach character pack when it launches Sept. 10, Microsoft announced today, giving players two Spartans to fight alongside new heroes like Kait Diaz and veterans like Marcus Fenix.

The Halo: Reach character pack, announced at Gamescom 2019 today, will deliver Spartans Emile-A239 and Kat-B320 as playable fighters. Each character will have their own Ultimate abilities for Gears 5’s Horde mode, and they’ll be playable in other modes, like Escape. They will also get a spread of Reach-themed cosmetics, including a Noble Team weapon set, banner, blood spray and mark, plus a Noble Team skin for Jack.

The character pack is part of all Gears 5 Ultimate Edition purchases, and is also included with Gears 5 for those who get it from an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. Gears 5 launches on that service for Windows PC and Xbox One on Sept. 6, ahead of the global release date.

Additionally, players can grab some more multiplayer cosmetics thanks to the clothing line collaboration with A Bathing Ape announced back at E3. A purchase of any item from the “AAPE Capsule Collection” nets the buyer a Black Camo Lancer weapon skin, a Red Camo banner, plus a Moonface mark and Moonface Bloodspray exclusive to the line.

A separate in-game collection, called AAPE x Gears, will be available for purchase online beginning Aug. 30, and it includes a Kait character skin in a blue camo hoodie, the Black Camo weapon set, and other cosmetics.
