Live-action Lady and the Tramp trailer brings the star-crossed canines to the real world

Another Disney remake, this time on your TV

Disney’s not slowing down with the remakes of their animated films. The latest classic Disney movie to get this live-action treatment is Lady and the Tramp, but unlike The Lion King, Aladdin, and Dumbo, the film will exclusively debut on Disney’s streaming service Disney Plus this November.

Tessa Thompson voices cocker spaniel Lady and Justin Theroux voices loveable mutt Tramp. Ashley Jensen, Benedict Wong, Janelle Monáe and Sam Elliott voice other dogs from the animated film. The human cast includes Kiersey Clemons as Darling, Lady’s owner, and Thomas Mann as her husband Jim.

Unlike the remake of The Lion King, which was rendered entirely in CG, Lady and the Tramp makes use of real life pooches. Just look at them doggos!

Lady and the Tramp is set to release on Nov. 12 on Disney Plus, which will also host live-action Star Wars series The Mandalorian, as well as multiple Star Wars and Marvel Cinematic spinoffs.

Disney recently released a poster featuring Monte, a terrier mix playing Tramp, and Rose, a cocker spaniel playing Lady, in a recreation of Lady and the Tramp’s most iconic shot. Two very real dogs making sultry eyes at each other over a plate of spaghetti — now that’s amore!
