Moon Knight, the supernatural, super-powered crime fighter who’s bounced from Avengers to Spider-Man and Hulk books over the years, is coming to Disney Plus in 2022.

Kevin Feige took the stage at the D23 Expo’s Disney Plus Showcase panel to announce the show, which followed on the heels of Ms. Marvel and She-Hulk series announcements.

Details were scarce — no casting, no plot, no nothing besides being part of the MCU Disney Plus timeline beyond Hawkeye in 2021. But just seeing the logo was enough to send fans in the room into a fit.

Created in 1975 by Doug Moench and Don Perlin, Moonknight is a former criminal turned avatar of the Egyptian moon god Khonshu (based on the actual Egyptian moon god Khonsu). He fights street level crime and generally does not socialize well with other superheroes, due to having the voice of Khonshu and two alternate personalities within his psyche.

Marvel’s other Marvel Cinematic Universe shows announced for Disney Plus include The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, WandaVision, Hawkeye, and a What If? animated series.
