Watch new Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay on today’s CD Projekt Red livestream

The first public showing of this year’s E3 demo and more

Fans will get a new look at Cyberpunk 2077 during a special livestream by CD Projekt Red. A developer-led gameplay demo is set to be broadcast on Aug. 30 at 11 a.m. PST. We’ll embed the livestream above once it’s ready. Fans can also view the presentation on Twitch and Mixer.

The look and feel of Cyberpunk 2077’s combat has changed considerably since it was first shown to the press at E3 2018. Some of those changes make it look a bit more like a cover-based shooter than the nimble, Deus Ex-style combat we had seen before. The gunplay was meatier, to be sure, but overall it still feels like a work in progress.

Expect the climax to be the same elaborate boss fight against a roided-up member of the Animal faction we were shown earlier this year. Also, be prepared to run through the same environment twice as the team highlights the game’s classless skill tree. There will also be quite a bit of time spent on the mean streets of Night City on the back of a nuclear-powered motorcycle.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on April 16, 2020 for PlayStation 4, Windows PC (via GOG, Steam, and the Epic Games Store), as well as on the Xbox One. It will also be available for Google Stadia.
