Saving Medusa for the end of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey made beating it even sweeter

This week, The Polygon Show experienced its very own clash of the titans, as Simone shared her experience finally defeating Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey’s ultimate challenge: Medusa, Gorgon queen. (No snakes were harmed in the filming of this episode!)

To celebrate, we talk spoilers on the game’s last moments. (Read more from Simone on Odyssey, if you want more reasons to play it.) I also have figured out a way to see Outer Wilds to its beautiful, satisfying end, which essentially involves teaming up so I never have to fly that rickety spacecraft ever again. (The game is wonderful! I just don’t think I don’t have a future in space exploration.)

Allegra also fuels our nostalgia by talking about the Invader Zim Neflix special Enter the Florpus, and calls our attention to a pot-stirring Pokémon tweet that makes us all wish for different birthdays.
