Deleted Spider-Man: Far From Home scene shows Jake Gyllenhaal juicing up Mysterio

Right before all hell breaks juice

One of the best parts of Spider-Man: Far From Home was Jake Gyllenhaal’s commitment to the role of Mysterio, a twisted goof that extended off-camera as well. If you feel the same way, prepare for even more.

In the above deleted scene from Far From Home, premiering exclusively on Polygon, director Jon Watts grants us even more Mysterio, this time showcasing more of the behind-the-scenes theatrical action.

It’s no surprise that Quentin Beck is a bit of a diva. He sits with a towel draped around his neck, sipping daintily from a green juice that’s definitely chock full of kale. He orders around his staff, casually mentioning possible casualties, and then calls Nick Fury, seamlessly slipping from the slightly frenzied Beck into the valiant Mysterio.

Spider-Man: Far From Home arrives to digital platforms on Sept. 17 and Blu-ray on Oct. 1. Catch the latest (and possibly last?!) Marvel Cinematic Universe Spider-Man movie, starring Tom Holland as Peter Parker, Zendaya as MJ, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, and of course, Jake Gyllenhaal as Mysterio.
