In patch 184.108.40.206, Bungie is improving Destiny 2’s Reckoning activity. Bungie is also lowering some of the more annoying stipulations for quests like Wendigo and Mountaintop, and removing some annoying barriers for the Braytech schematics. This new patch is all about quality of life.
With 220.127.116.11, players can now carry 9,999 Planetary Materials, Gunsmith Materials, Vanguard Tokens, Crucible Tokens, and Iron Banner tokens. This is 10 times more than the previous cap of 999.
Braytech Schematics, which players use to earn unique weapons from Ana Bray on Mars, are also getting a boost. Players are no longer limited to only one per day. The drop rate is now 25%, up from whatever mysteriously low number it was at before.
When players turn in a schematic, there’s a much higher chance that Ana will offer them a weapon they haven’t earned yet. Since players need all of the weapons to earn the Wayfarer title in game, this boost should remove some of the randomness associated with that title.
Bungie is also reducing some of the pain in the two pinnacle grenade launcher quests.
For the Wendigo SR-3, players will earn double the progress for grenade kills and no longer lose progress on deaths. Multikills also grant 50% more progress, and playlist strikes are significantly more efficient.
For the Mountaintop quest, players now only need 75 multikills, down from 200. For the medals step, players only need to collect 25, down from 100. Players will also earn even more points for these actions in the Competitive playlist.
Changes to Gambit Prime and the Reckoning activity should make farming for that perfect Spare Rations hand cannon less aggravating. Both Reckoning and Gambit Prime have improved bad luck protection, meaning players have a higher chance to get a weapon after not getting a drop. Tier 3 Reckoning’s weapon drop rate is now higher, to match the activity’s difficulty. Bungie is also reducing enemies’ health and damage dealt in Reckoning to make it easier.
Patch 18.104.22.168 is now live for all Destiny 2 players.
