The final episodes of BoJack Horseman arrive on Netflix on Jan. 31. A new trailer shows just how far BoJack has come since the show’s first episode — and how far he still has to go.
BoJack Horseman made a legacy for itself by tackling heavy themes of addiction and mental health with some stellar animation. It set out to subvert sitcom tropes, but ended up then having to subvert those subversions as the show continued.
The last season of BoJack Horseman was split into two parts, and premiered back in October. This final batch of episodes will continue to explore BoJack’s recovery, and he’s taken up a teaching job at Wesleyan University. Professor Horseman has a nice ring to it, except BoJack realizes he’s written his name on the board in Sharpie. We live, we learn, and we make sure there are dry-erase markers around.
The trailer also touches on the lives of Diane, Princess Carolyn, and Todd. According to the video summary, these final episodes will see a reporter digging into the mysterious circumstances surrounding Sarah Lynn’s death in season 4.
