Judging by the first trailer for season 2, Otis (Asa Butterfield) has come a long way since the first season of Netflix’s Sex Education.
The hit Netflix show focuses on the son of a sex therapist (Gillian Anderson), who opens a sex advice clinic at school with the help of his classmate Maeve (Emma Mackey). The first season premiered last January and also starred Ncuti Gatwa, as Otis’s openly gay best friend, and Alistair Petrie, as the headmaster of the school.
The new season finds Otis dating Ola, and now absolutely over Maeve. Definitely. Totally. Except, well, maybe she’s now into him so things are complicated. There are new students, including a hot French student; relationship drama, like the fact that Otis’s mom is banging Ola’s dad; and of course, plenty of educational tips from both Otis and his mum, despite the fact Otis has absolutely closed his sex clinic. For real this time!
Sex Education season 2 premieres on Netflix on Jan. 17.
