It’s Always Sunny creator Rob McElhenney is an awful game developer in Apple’s new comedy series

In a world of legendary heroes...

Apple TV Plus dives into the world of video game development with Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet.

The half-hour comedy comes from the creators of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and focuses on a video game developer behind fictional game Mythic Quest (which is seemingly preparing for the Raven’s Banquet expansion). Always Sunny veteran Rob McElhenney stars as the narcissistic creative director, Iam Grimm. The trailer reveals that Grimm’s all-about-me attitude has taken a toll on the studio’s morale, especially on the women doing a lot of the behind-the-scenes work.

Co-producer of Always Sunny David Hornsby joins the cast. Also starring is F. Murray Abraham (Amadeus), Imani Hakim (Everybody Hates Chris), Danny Pudi (Community), Ashley Burch (Life is Strange), and Charlotte Nicdao (Childhood’s End).

Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet premieres on Apple TV Plus on Feb. 7. Also coming soon to the platform is anthology series Little America from The Big Sick’s Kumail Nanjiani, which focuses on immigrant life.
