Destiny 2’s annual Halloween event, Festival of the Lost, has returned this year along with new loot and other fan favorite activities. Just like previous years, this year’s festival will include a few weapons for players to earn, Exotic cosmetic rewards, and a newly updated version of the Haunted Forest for players to explore. Destiny 2’s 2020 Festival of the Lost will begin on Oct. 6.
Just like previous Festivals of the Lost, Destiny 2 players will have to travel to the Tower and talk to Eva Levante to start this year’s festivities. She’ll give players a new mask to join in on the Halloween fun, plus a new quest and access to the Haunted Forest.
Speaking of the Haunted Forest, this year’s version has a few updates courtesy of The Spider. Players can visit The Spider to collect Cipher Decoders that can be used to unlock special caches at the end of each Haunted Forest visit. Players can open five of these extra caches each time they visit the forest, as long as they’ve got enough decoders. These new caches can contain a Legendary piece of gear, a random roll of the Braytech Werewolf and Horror Story auto rifles, masks, and Festival of the Lost shaders.
During the Festival, Eva will also offer Festival Bounties that players can use to earn XP, Bright Dust, Glimmer, and Chocolate Strange Coins. These rewards can be used to unlock some of the exclusive loot and rewards that Eva is offering this year, including masks and a new Exotic Ghost, Sparrow, and Ship.
This year’s Festival of the Lost will be live in Destiny 2 for all players from Oct. 6 to Nov. 3.
