Sonic the Hedgehog is Fall Guys’ next celebrity guest-skin.
The Blue Blur is available beginning Wednesday, Oct. 14, developer Mediatonic said in a statement on Monday. Sonic’s bean costume will be available for 10 Crowns. Here are a couple of closer inspections:
Sonic’s cameo comes Sega’s 60th anniversary; the company was founded in Tokyo in June 1960. Mediatonic celebrated by hosting a bizarre livestream on Monday afternoon, seen below:

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout’s second season began last week with medieval themed costumes and levels. Mediatonic also ramped up the amount of Crowns available to players in the season pass by about 600%.
Crowns are one of the three methods for buying skins in the game, which launched Aug. 4 on PlayStation 4 and Windows PC. Crowns unlock the most desirable premium costumes, but that currency had been notoriously hard to obtain.
In addition to the added Crowns, Season 2 of Fall Guys introduced nicknames and nameplates. These customization features show up below players’ characters during end-of-round results screens to help differentiate them from the rest of the beans.
